Early Childhood Education

Early childhood is a time of play and exploration, and most importantly, a time for children to learn. At our Early Childhood Education centers, we offer affordable childcare to the families of Eastern North Philadelphia and is home to four of Pennsylvania’s top-rated childcare centers. We provide dual-language immersion and high-quality curriculum that instills confidence, curiosity and a love of learning in the early years. Discover what high quality Pre-K and Headstart programs can do for your child as they prepare for Kindergarten.

APM currently provides 4 services in their locations:

  • Before/After Care – provides additional hours of educational care to students whose parents are not able to drop off or pick up their children during regular hours. These services are only available to current students of the APM locations.
  • PHL Pre-K Counts – provides Pre-K schooling to children who are at risk of school failure due to financial issues, non-English speakers or those with different cultural or special needs. NO Income or Employment requirements.
  • Head Start – provides services to eligible children between three and five years old. Child care services to children between the ages of one to three years old are also provided. This program is a 4 Star, NACY certified program.
  • Pre-K Counts – provides Pre-K schooling to children who are at risk of school failure due to financial issues, non-English speakers or those with different cultural or special needs.

We place a strong emphasis on parent involvement and on positive reinforcement to help build the child’s self-esteem.
