Before APM’s founding, basic social services were largely unavailable to Philadelphia’s Spanish-speaking residents. That all changed in 1970 when a small group of social activists decided to claim their seat at the table and demand a change. That spirit of resilience still rings true today and underpins the work we do every day.

As a community-based organization, we are embedded in the neighborhood fabric. Our wraparound human and health services make Philadelphia a place of opportunity and support the development of at-risk youth and families.
