A single mother of two daughters entered our Abriendo Caminos Program on November 1, 2013. She was living in the street due to lack of income, substance abuse and other personal barriers that hindered her self-sufficiency. After entering the Abriendo Caminos program she started to work identifying her priorities and needs, such as reuniting with her daughter and granddaughter.
After her first two years she felt more comfortable being by herself. Through the Abriendo Caminos case manager’s intervention she was reunited with her oldest daughter! She is very pleased with all the supportive services that she received from the Abriendo Caminos program, and from APM
