The Sugar Cane Festival is a beloved tradition in the APM family. When we were not able to host the festival in-person during our 50^th anniversary in 2020 and again this year, we knew we still had to deliver our services for the good of our community. In summer 2021, we embarked on a new chapter with the kick-off of Sugar Cane Festival Month.

Every Wednesday throughout the month of August, we reflected and found enjoyment with virtual performances and highlights on the many programs we offer. These events included guest appearances from our talent performing at our 50^th Anniversary Gala planned for December. Other festivities included giveaways that allowed our community to visit the APM family and pick up program resources and sugar cane, as well as a raffle with prizes ranging from $50 to $100.

Thank you for joining us throughout August, whether that be virtually or in person. We are reminded time and time again of the strength and resilience of our community. You have helped us keep the spirit of the Sugar Cane Festival alive during this period of uncertainty.

We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did and look forward to the day when we can bring our festival back to our neighborhood.
