Pradera Corporation, a subsidiary of APM, has a longstanding history within the child welfare community of providing high-quality, holistic and trauma-informed services.

Our focus is to promote healthy lifestyles, protect and nurture vulnerable children and youth and empower them to have a voice in their communities.

We believe that individuals and families can succeed when they are provided with the right tools to help them overcome existing barriers and prepare for future ones.

Our bilingual and culturally-sensitive staff prioritizes keeping children in their communities, through certified kinship caregivers when appropriate, to ultimately achieve positive permanency outcomes such as reunification, adoption and permanent legal custody. Pradera is guided by the standards under the City’s Improving Outcomes for Children (IOC) initiative.

APM Pradera received an “optimal” rating (the top score rating available) on DHS’s 2021 Foster Care Report. Our team is committed to providing exceptional support in order to create better outcomes for children and families in Philadelphia. To review the full report, see here.

Resource Homes
We currently provide resource home services to 290 Resource Homes with 402 children in care. Twenty-two percent of our homes are certified to care for youth with Specialized Behavioral Health needs who need additional structure and support. More than a quarter of our homes are prepared to care for English-limited and primarily Spanish speaking children and youth.

It is crucial to us that our Resource Caregivers reflect the populations and communities we serve.

Adoption
Since 2008, we have secured adoptions for 244 children.

Foster Care
Pradera is currently contracted with Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks Counties for direct Foster Care services to Resource Families. We have achieved positive permanency outcomes in all three counties.
