Our experts know how to meet anyone’s specific treatment needs.

At our substance abuse program, we offer compassionate and comprehensive care, including treatments with Suboxone, Sublocade, and Vivitrol. We’re dedicated to supporting your journey to recovery with the best possible resources and support.
Population We Serve

Proyecto Nueva Vida was initially founded to serve Puerto Ricans and the Latino community. Soon, our mission expanded to embrace individuals from all kinds of diverse backgrounds, regardless of language, race, creed, gender, ethnicity, disability, or sexual orientation, who are 14 years and older and in need of drug and alcohol services that meet our clinical standards.

We welcome participants from various referral sources, whether self-referred, referred by community agencies, or through court, prison, or other parts of the justice system. If any participant presents with co-occurring disorders, we refer them to our in-house Mental Health program for additional support and care and participant can receive both substance abuse and mental health treatment simultaneously.

Services We Provide

· Comprehensive Assessments: Initial evaluations to understand the individual’s substance use history, mental health status, and overall health.
· Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): Use of FDA-approved medications, such as Suboxone, or naltrexone, combined with counseling and behavioral therapies.
· Individual and Group Therapy: One-on-one counseling sessions and group therapy sessions to address underlying issues, develop coping strategies, and build a support network.
· Family Therapy: Involving family members in the treatment process to improve communication, address family dynamics, and provide support for the patient’s recovery.
· Continuing Care and Aftercare: Ongoing support and follow-up care to help individuals maintain their recovery and prevent relapse.

These services are designed to provide a comprehensive, holistic approach to addiction treatment, addressing both the physical and psychological aspects of recovery.
