Elizabeth Smart, a well-known child safety activist, shared her story of survival with a local audience on Wednesday. Smart, who was abducted, raped and held captive for months when she was 14-years-old, spoke about why she continues to fight for kidnapped and abused victims. The event was organized by Puertorriqueños en Marcha (APM), a non-profit organization based in the Philadelphia region.
